D.I.I. AAR-55 'Lancer Mk.II'

The D.I.I. AAR-55 "Lancer Mk.II" (Advanced Assault Rifle) is an advanced assault rifle platform designed and manufactured by Draconis Industries International.

The "Lancer Mk.II" is the lighter counterpart to the D.I.I. AHAR-53 "Lancer Mk.I". The Lancer Mk.II is a hard hitting and fast striking assault rifle chambered in the 6.8 SPC cartridge, as opposed to the Mk.I's use of the 7.62x51mm NATO Cartridge. Lancer Mk.II's feature high capacity 70-round triple-stacked magazines compared to the Mk.I's 50-round dual-stack magazines. Lancer Mk.II's feature a higher fire rate then the Mk.I, 1000 RPM compared to the Mk.I's 850 RPM. Mk.II's also utilize a shorter barrel with an enhanced muzzle break attachment by default.

Like the Lancer Mk.I, Mk.II's usually come with the basic stock shown (by default from the factory), Lancer Mk.II's are usually used without a stock. However, as with the Mk.I's, Lancer Mk.II's can be modified to use a wide variety of modern stocks. Also, like the Mk.I's, they can also be configured for either left-handed or right-handed operation.

The Lancer Mk.II is usually outfitted with the D.I.I."Eviscerator" Mk.V CSB-1 (Chain Saw Bayonet Type 1) (shown on the above example) in place of a standard combat knife type bayonet. The "Eviscerator" offers Lancer Mk.II operators an advantage over troops utilizing a standard knife bayonet. Users can also opt to swap the D.I.I."Eviscerator" Mk.V CSB-1 for a D.I.I. "Ripper" Mk.III CSB-2 (Chain Saw Bayonet Type 2) which offers longer blade length and higher strength cutting teeth, with slower RPM as its primary drawback.
