D.I.I. PR-102B 'Hacksaw' Pulse Rifle

The PR-102B "Hacksaw" is an advanced burst fire "Pulse Rifle" designed by Draconis Industries International.

The "Hacksaw" utilizes advanced polymers in its design so it is strong and still light. It fires in rapid 3-shot bursts, either a burst per trigger-pull or in a pseudo-automatic mode that repeatedly fires 3-shot bursts for as long as the trigger is held. This burst-fire system helps keep the system from being damaged by the unusual ammunition it fires, as well as being easy to handle.

The "Hacksaw" uses heated polymer rounds (HPRs) as ammo which can cut through armor like AP (Armor-Piercing) rounds and still cause the serious internal damage of HP (Hollow Point) rounds, without the nasty recoil caused by heavier ammunition. Standard HPR magazines are loaded with 45 rounds.

The system was nicknamed, "The Head-shot Machine" by the main testing team for this weapon, due to its efficiency at rapidly scoring multiple hits on the same spot over and over.



The idea, design, and overall shape of this weapon comes from the Pulse Rifle weapon type from Bungie Studio's game, Destiny.
