DII 'Cascade' HSAR-828 - Heavy Storm Assault Rifle

The D.I.I. "Cascade" HSAR-828 is an advanced assault rifle platform.

The system uses a 64-round 6.8SPC P90 style magazine that is loaded into the top of the rifle and a plasma energy cell that is loaded into the bottom of the rifle. Each energy cell has the capacity to energize 6 standard magazines.

Larger magazines are avalible, specificly double, triple, and quadruple capacity mags of 128-rounds, 192-rounds, and 256-rounds. Higher capacity plasma energy cells are also available to make cell swaps happen less frequently, so cells are avalible that need swapping after 6 double-capacity mags, 6-triple-capacity mags, or 6 quad-capacity mags.

The weapon has the same high fire rate as FN's 5.7mm P90 Sub Machine Gun but in the form of a large rifle. The energy cell is used in a special secondary fire mode. When triggered, the plasma energy cell energizes the fired rounds with a thin coating of blue plasma, allowing the rounds to tear straight through nearly all standard body armor types and many advanced body armor types.

A larger version of the HSAR-828 is avalible for larger opperators, especially dragons of larger than average size or with larger hands. This version is the D.I.I. "Waterfall" DHSAR-829 Draconic Heavy Storm Rifle, which is also chambered in the 7.62x51mm NATO round.
